Events, Winners, Promotions and More Carson Valley Inn News

About the Two Harley Winners Last Friday
Ray
Rebecca
Ray Cotham was the Harley winner at the CVI and the money vs. Harley decision was easy for Ray. As an octogenarian, he really didn’t have use for a Harley . . . But the $10,000 will “keep me in bullets” (money to keep playing the slots) for quite a while!! Naturally, Ray didn’t expect to win but was pleased to be in the final group when he drew a third 8 on the final turn of the cards to beat a pair of nines! Rebecca Valenzuela was the Bodines Harley winner and her story is rather interesting. She reluctantly came to the final drawings with absolutely no expectation of winning as she had also won the Ford F150 truck promotion at Bodines this summer. While it’s all a blur to Rebecca, she was greeted with a warm round of applause and many hugs from the other Bodines regulars and many of the employees. She and her husband toyed with the idea of trading in his Harley and taking the new one . . . But they also eventually chose the $10,000 cash! Could you be next on our big winner list?       While Columbus was an Italian, he could not find funding in Italy, so he turned to the King of Spain. King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella provided the funding. Click for more interesting facts about Columbus Day.
