Concert Throwback
Looking back at the last week in June we
remember when Rodney Adkins took the stage on June 27, 2015 and who can forget
just last year on June 29, 2018 when Clint Black played to a very full
house that must’ve included every country fan in Northern Nevada!
Music, Food & BrewFest this Friday
The Front
Porch Blues Band and Rockology are
providing the music for this Friday’s Music, Food and BrewFest, the
kickoff event for the Mike Tice Annual Charity Weekend
"For The Kids". Admission is just $25 which includes a starter supply of tokens used to buy beer
(we’ll have a nice variety) and food (burgers, dogs, pulled pork and the like). To
purchase tickets for this three-plus hours of music and fun, Click Here. Remember,
this event is to raise funds for a permanent facility
for the Boys and Girls Club of Western
Nevada, Carson Valley Branch.
Blood Drive
Today at CVI
The folks from Vitalant
(formerly United Blood Services) will have their bloodmobiles set
up in our west lot along Hwy 395 today from 10 AM to 6 PM for another in their
series of All American Blood Drives.
Summer is the most difficult time to get donors to jump in plus the
needs for blood definitely increase in the summer with more traffic and more
outside activity. Your help would be very much appreciated . . . Simply stop in
at the pop-up tent next to the bloodmobiles and the Vitalant rep will get you
in as soon as possible. As an added incentive, Vitalant is bringing a
variety of t-shirts for today’s donors including some with Giants and some with
Nevada themes. Take your pick from their
selection while supplies last!
Death Ride
Deadline This Sunday!
Pretty ominous headline,
huh! Because of our involvement behind the scenes, we happened to be
talking to the folks at the Alpine County Chamber of Commerce this week. They
mentioned there are still some openings for the Tour of the California Alps
– Death Ride on July 13 and the registration cutoff is this Sunday. Get all
the details at This Link.
