With proper respect for the sanctity of the holiday on Sunday, Easter will come rollicking in this Saturday when Sister's Easter Catechism lights up the Valley Ballroom in performances at 5:30 and 8:00 PM. on Saturday, If you are catholic, used to be catholic, know people who are catholic, dated someone catholic, heard or told a catholic joke, you are certain to enjoy this borderline irreverent and hilariously funny reflection on the guilt and fear that guided many a terrified soul into adulthood! Part pageant, and wHOLY hysterical, this latest of the sinfully funny Late Nite Catechism series unearths the origins of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter bonnets, Easter baskets, and of course those yummy Easter Peeps. Sister answers questions about pet heaven and the significance of those adorable baby chicks! Classroom participation is a must and gum chewing is a no-no!! The first of many dozens of 2019 golf groups visited the Carson Valley Inn last weekend and the above picture is the view they had from close to the second tee box at the Golf Club at Genoa Lakes. • Easter Sunday Dining:
• CV Steak is open for dinner on Easter Sunday from 4:30 p.m. offering the regular CV Steak menu and two Easter dinner specials: Veal Scaloppini (three medallions sautéed with lemon, capers, chardonnay and butter) for $29 and Oscar Style Alaskan Halibut (topped with crab and béarnaise sauce and served with asparagus) for $32. As with all CV Steak entree's, the Easter Specials include CV Steak signature tableside tossed salad, sourdough baguette, creamery butter, choice of giant baked potato, garlic mashed potatoes, twice baked potato or au gratin potatoes and fresh vegetables. • Katie’s regular menu will be served on Easter Sunday plus two  holiday specials from 2 to 9 p.m.: Raisin Sauce Glazed Baked Ham with mashed potatoes, vegetable of the day and choice of soup or salad for $9.99, and Crab Spaghetti with light garlic cream sauce and choice of soup or salad for $13.99.

The Thursday special is a Turkey Plate for $6.99. Fridays and Saturdays, Katie's offers a Roasted Prime Rib and Fried Shrimp Dinner special served with baked potato, vegetable and soup or salad for $14.99 and Katie’s Sunday special is "The Chandler" Chicken Dinner including southern fried chicken with mashed potatoes and cole slaw for $5.99 from 2 to 10 PM. Monday Katie’s features Pork Milanese, a breaded and Parmesan coated pork cutlet griddled golden brown with lemon butter sauce served with fresh vegetables and mashed potatoes for $6.99. The Tuesday special is a Burrito Grande, chicken or beef & beans in a flour tortilla covered with enchilada sauce & cheese with Spanish rice for $6.99.
• More CV Steak: Thursday’s special is the CV Steak Mix Grill, a combination of our Filet Mignon, a Dijon and molasses Marinated Pork Tenderloin Medallion and Herb Marinated Lamb Chop Steak for $26. This Friday it’s Bison Tournedos Rossini for $35 and  Saturday night’s special is Garlic Studded Prime Rib for $26. These specials are served with fresh vegetable, choice of rice or potato – au gratin, baked, or a one-pound, twice-baked – tableside tossed salad and warm demi-loaf bread.
